.) What was the one event that helped you to get to where you are now? Failure. It’s ok to fail. Failure is not the opposite of success it’s part of success.
.) Name the one thing that you are most proud of. I’m most proud of where I came from. My parents really knew what they were doing, even when I didn’t think so. They helped instill values, morals, truthfulness, forgiveness, and being a well rounded woman.
.) What is one of your goals for the future? My goals for the future are many! My first goal is to continue to expand my business of 21 years; a medical spa in Lakewood Colorado, Aesthetic Nurse Specialists ( www.spadenver.co ). I am also working on starting a homeless shelter in Lakewood for men, woman, veterans and families and their pets. My side gig, is being a professional model…..which I truly enjoy showing the artistic side of ME. I have been asked to produce numerous Fashion Show Events in 2016; such an honor! Mostly for non-profit organizations in need: The first is Massiff Fashion Week starting April 2nd raising money for The Colorado Ski Museum and the next is April 29th raising money for The Extended Hands of Hope. They are establishing a home for young woman whom have been victims of sex trafficking. My last goal currently, is to help my “main squeeze”, Chef Micah Vincent reach his dreams. We now have an amazing event room at our medical spa location for cooking classes, catering, space rental for small parties of 100. He teaches children and adults, has set classes and enjoys students coming up ideas that they would like to do!!!!
.) Tell us one thing that helps you to relax. Exercise! Whether it be yoga, a run/walk, and camping! The outdoors makes me feel complete and at home!
.) Name the biggest inspiration of your professional life. My patients are my inspiration! I work with cancer, burn, horrid scarring, acne and sun damaged patients. NO FLUFF n PLUFF HERE! They are so full of love; have so many stories about life, struggle and STRENGTH. They….. they inspire me. THEY make me MOVE.
.) What is one piece of advice that you’d like to give to women? Know yourself. It’s the most difficult thing in life. The better you know yourself, the better your relationship with the rest of the world!
.) What one thing have you sacrificed to get where you are now? I don’t look at anything as “I sacrificed” …… I look at it as, I enjoy giving to others, before myself. I like to be selfless. It’s much easier to smile than to frown.
.) In your opinion, what does it mean to be an Assertive Beauty? Assertive Beauty: Holds no Boundaries. To be an assertive beauty= hold no boundaries= own it= be you=be true= to yourself and OTHERS.
